First Introduced in 1999, Kwan Creation has developed a loyal following with those who appreciate distinctive designs that personifies an expressive image and exclaims quality. Dressing the urban and modern man by meeting his daily needs has been and continues to the key to Kwan Creations’s recognizable style and commercial success.

The Chief Designer for Kwan Creation is Daniel Cho. One of the the “KL 6”, Daniel was handpicked from the pool of established Malaysian couturiers by the Malaysian International Fashion Awards (MIFA) from year 2003-2005. Presently he is one of the most sought-after designers in Malaysia where he designs manufactures and market clothes and accessories solely for men.

The Kwan concept arises from an interrelation between a quality products with distinctive design at affordable price. An articulate and unified images is marketed through its network of corporate and franchise stores. Kwan Creation’s flagship boutique at located in 3 consignment outlets at both Isetan KLCC and Lot 10.

His collections are Asian orientated with use of natural fabrics, rough stitch motifs, embroidery and beading. Daniel says "My work carries the values which permeate the 'Kwan' culture which are oriented towards the oriental arts with a contemporary and avant-garde twist, in harmony with the personality of the wearer and occasion. His designs have been touted as wearable yet stylish as they incorporate intricate details into basics.

Inspired from elements that represent culture and history, Kwan Creation focuses on the concept of being in harmony with the universe and deeply influenced by the 5 elements from the East: are metal, wood, water, fire and earth. Therefore, the colors of each season whether Spring / Summer or Fall / Winter collection relates to these elements.

Cultivating a passion for fabric fusion, Daniel likes to use natural fabrics such as Cotton, Linen, Burmese, Indian and Thai silk, woven to hold his signature traits like embroidery and bronze metal. The name 'Kwan' is derived from Daniel's Chinese name, which means 'Gallant Solders'. Like its name suggests, those who chose to wear his designs range from the suave and chivalrous to the fearless and spirited.

About Daniel Cho

36 year old Daniel Cho graduated from The House of Rinpo in 1992. His journey into the world of fashion design began as a pattern drafter before he rose to the position of designer for ladies fashion through connections with local fashion manufacturers. In 1999, he set up Line and Dot Trading which saw the creation of the Kwan label. His first consignment outlet was opened at Isetan KLCC in year 2000 followed with the second one in Isetan Lot 10, two years later. A year later, his first boutique opened in Sungei Wang Plaza and Line N Dot Trading moved under the umbrella of Kwan Creation Sdn Bhd. In 2007, he set up another 2 consignment outlet in Isetan The Gardens, which is men’s and ladies wear.
